Christian dance project is launched in Norwich

FreshDanceA new dance project has been launched by a Norwich church and is offering a taster session and appealing for volunteers to join it.
Fresh Dance is a new dance project primarily for children and young people in the Catton Grove community.

There are two groups that meet at Oak Grove Chapel, 70 Catton Grove Road, Norwich, NR3 3NT, every Wednesday during term time. They are for primary school age and secondary school age and above. These weekly sessions give the children and young people the opportunity to learn dance routines, make new friends and work towards performances throughout the year.

Carol Woodward, from Oak Grove, said: “Fresh Dance aims to demonstrate the love and kindness of Jesus through our words and actions towards young people and their families, to develop their skills and ability increasing their self confidence and self esteem and to develop team-building skills and increase the young people's sense of achievement by working together as a group to fulfil team goals.”

A taster session for all children and young people who might be interested will be held on Wednesday September 14, Oak Grove Chapel, 6 -7.30pm. There will be an opportunity to meet the team, register for the weekly sessions, see and order uniforms and give dance a try.

“We would like to develop a growing team of volunteers to help with refreshments, welcoming the children, young people and their families, and volunteers to help with the dancing,” said Carol.
