Meet and Eat – Lighthouse Sheringham 

The Lighthouse Community Church in Sheringham offers a community meal every Thursday lunchtime, comprising a two-course set meal for only £5, open to anyone in the community of any age. 

Norfolk feeds 5000logo243Examples of the meals on offer at Meet and Eat at Lighthouse Community Church in Sheringham include home-made cottage pie with vegetables and potatoes, sausage and mash, chicken casserole and yorkshire pudding filled with savoury mince, with desserts such as bread and butter pudding, apple crumble, lemon meringue and chocolate fudge cake with cream.
 
“This is more than just turning up at the café for a meal” explained Café Manager Maggie Rothe, “The idea is that everyone sits together, chats, and gets to know each other”.
 
Book in advance by 1pm the day before on 01263 825155 or 01263 669012, or call in at Lighthouse reception.
 
The project aim is to engage with people from the community who might otherwise not visit the café or any other aspect of Lighthouse. The charge is set at break-even level.
