Aylsham church to make summer holiday lunches

Aylsham Community Church will be working with national charity TLG to provide lunches for local children and families in Aylsham and the surrounding area on Wednesdays during the summer holidays. Tony Rothe reports.

MakeLunch@Jubilee is a response to the pressure experienced by many families during the school holidays when free school meals are not available. Those who attend, parents and children alike, will receive a free hot and healthy meal. There will also be fun craft activities.

The meals are available from 11.30am to 1.15pm every Wednesday from July 31 onwards at Jubilee Family Centre, Norwich Road, Aylsham, NR11 6JG.

Aylsham community church logo Peter Athill from the church said “We at Aylsham Community Church understand the burden of feeding extra mouths when those free school meals stop. That’s why we have launched MakeLunch@Jubilee. We would urge families to make the summer holiday stretch easier this year and come and meet our friendly team. We'll see you there!”

Those wishing to attend should book online if possible at aylshamcommunitychurch.org or by phoning 01263 734801, giving details of any dietary requirements.
