Dereham toddler group gives Gospel hope

For the past three years, the Little Lambs toddler group run by Wellspring Family Centre in Dereham has grown into an effective way to care for the community surrounding the church.

Every Tuesday, roughly 25 families come to Wellspring to enjoy the toys, games, messy play and snacks. Carers and parents enjoy the opportunity to connect with others, and the children benefit from the heuristic play, inclusive provision, and interaction with each other.
 
The session ends with a gospel story or Bible song, and the group has served to connect families into Wellspring's other projects, such as the Food Cabin, and provided a route for some of them to explore church and faith.
 
Kerri, who leads Little Lambs, said, “It is a privilege to serve families in this way, and we trust this continues to grow, but more volunteers are needed to chat to the parents and help with setting up/tidying.”
 
Little Lambs runs from 9.30am to 11.30am on Tuesdays.
