Sheringham Christian guesthouse celebration

Canaan Christian Centre in Sheringham has been providing accommodation for 43 years, and they will be celebrating with a Thanksgiving Day later this month. Tony Rothe reports.

Everyone is welcome to come along to the Canaan Thanksgiving Day at 3pm on Saturday 22 June. The speaker will be Doug Barnett and the event will conclude with teas in The Wolery at Canaan. There is no charge to attend, but it would be helpful if you could let Evelyn Smith know if you are intending to come, phone 01263 734739.
 
Doug Barnett is a local, national, and international conference speaker and evangelist. based in Christchurch in Dorset, and regularly preaches in his local church. He has previously spoken at Spring Harvest. A few years ago, at the age of 81, he walked around the perimeter of Dorset, a journey of 181 miles, to raise money for a prayer room in a new building extension at his church. He has also completed the London Marathon, walked from North to South Lebanon, and has walked from Lands to John O’Groats.
 
Canaan Christian Centre is a chalet bungalow which stands in a third of an acre of grounds five minutes’ walk from the centre of Sheringham, with the beach a few minutes further, and can sleep up to 19 people.
 
Doug will be returning to Canaan to speak at a houseparty from Tuesday 25 to Thursday 27 June and local folk will be very welcome to join them for one of the days, with an evening meal and ministry.
