Graham Kendrick
An evening with Graham Kendrick in Norwich

A ‘father of modern worship music’ Graham Kendrick will host an evening of worship in Norwich on July 13.

Graham will be leading songs from across his 50 years of songwriting accompanied by Jason Carter (harp guitar), and David Fitzgerald (saxophones, flutes and whistles) at Norwich Central Baptist Church (NCBC). The evening will include songs and testimony from Graham, plus an interval where refreshments will be served.

Graham Kendrick has been at the forefront of the worship music scene for over 50 years and has recorded hundreds of songs in that time. Many are well known around the world, including Shine Jesus Shine, Knowing You, The Servant King, Amazing Love and God of the Poor (Beauty for Brokenness).

An experienced leader, Graham encourages audiences to understand worship as a way of life.

He first became known as a singer-songwriter, then as a writer of contemporary praise and worship songs. He was one of the founders and the songwriter behind the global phenomenon March for Jesus, which has mobilised millions of Christians to ‘take the walls off the church’ and bring praise, prayer and acts of goodwill and reconciliation on to the streets

The evening at NCBC will include a mixture of Graham's solo works and he will also lead those attending in singing some of his most famous songs.

During the evening there will be a short presentation about the work of Compassion International  and the opportunity to consider sponsoring a child (https://www.compassionuk.org/).

He is based in the UK, regularly leads worship in his home church and travels widely, as a worship leader, speaker and performer.

Rev Tom Madders pastor of NCBC said, “We are thrilled to be hosting an evening with Graham Kendrick and look forward to an uplifting night of worship and testimony.”

“Graham’s songs are founded on truth, speaking of God’s heart and character. Many of them are well-known and loved – we've been belting them out at NCBC for decades, and it will be a joy to hear some new songs as well as the old favourites!

“We have a fantastic venue at NCBC near to the city centre and it is a pleasure to use it for an event like this. We would like to invite as many people as possible to come along for an incredible night.”
